Pardubický kraj ** The area is rich in historic sites with its medieval castles, drawn up since the 13th century on the strategic places of the area. The principal center of interest of Železné hory is the castle of Lichnice. The area offers a considerable number of remarkable natural sites and interesting historic buildings. Among the most known, let us quote for example the natural reserves of Železné hory (Iron Mountains), d´Orlické hory (Mountains of l´Aigle) or of Ždárské vrchy (the high Ždárské slopes).
